Hmmm...I have a freind who claims that parity and schalorship limitations are the cause of the not working with the second team. Claims that back when Bud and Barry were coaching there was no limit on the schalorships they could give and therefore the players behind the first team were as good as the first team. Sorry, but I just don't see that. I think our recruiting is hurt by Bob's inability to win the big game and therefore we are lucky to even have a good first team. I wish I could forget that we have blown the last 6 bowl games and two (or is it more) National Championships. OU lost out on two big time players this last off season and I believe it is because they don't want to come to OU and lose. If I was looking to make it to the NFL I sure wouldn't come to OU!

So. Will the Bears hang with OU? I have been reading several articles and it is split 50/50 on this subject. If OU loses to Baylor (perennial cellar dwellers) I am going to ask for my season ticket money back. OU's hurry up offense is kind of like the Army...hurry up and wait...go under center and then back out while Wilson decides what to do! Maybe if they had worked with Jones and the second team Jones could call a play and go under center and actually run a play before the defense gets set. Oh! Yeah! The second team gets no work in practice. It is no wonder we are not getting the top notch recruits, why would they go to a school that has lost the last six big games?
